In a scene repeated innumerable times in the age of steam, the engineer adds a bit of oil before heading out.  Steam locomotives are noisy, dirty, greasy, and oily.  About every time I am near one, I get dirty-even a cold locomotive!  This night was no exception.  Night shoot I did on the Cumbres and Toltec in October 2016.  Nikon D750, 3″@f/11, 38mm, 35mm.
